Healing Corner

March 7, 2020 //  by St. David's

We are living in perilous times. It is so important that we as believers in Jesus claim the promises of God concerning His protection for us and our loved ones. I would like to encourage you to look at, and possibly memorize, some of the verses in Psalm 91.

The first two verses read: “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust.” When we dwell in the shelter of the Most High it means to live in constant communion with God and put Him first place in our lives. We must put these two actions as our first priority if we want the benefits that are written in Psalm 91.

Dwelling in the shelter of the Most High means we are living there continually, not just an occasional visit! This secret place of the Most High must be our permanent dwelling place.  When we achieve this right relationship with God we can boldly claim that He is indeed our refuge and fortress. When we are hit with troubles, we can come to Him with confidence, knowing that it is His will to take care of us and that He is more than able to do it.

In the New Living Translation for verses 10-11 it says, “No evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. For he (God) will order his angels to protect you wherever you go.”   Whenever sickness symptoms are trying to come against you or members of your family, quickly tell the enemy (Satan, devil), that he cannot put these symptoms on you or family members because you have already claimed in the name of Jesus Christ that no plague can come to your family. You may have to say these verses many times until they become the truth to you in your spirit. Do not give up– hearing God’s Word will bring to you a faith that is deep into God’s Truth.

Verses 15-16 contain more precious promises of God. They read, (NLT): “When they call on me. I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.”

Oh my, how deep and constant are the promises of our God! I so encourage you to take these promises and daily or whenever needed confess them, most of all believe what God is promising to you and yours. Then keep watching God and experience the reality of His love and power in your life.

God Bless You,
Carol Williams
