My dearest Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

It is with a truly breaking heart that I make an announcement that in my wildest dreams I never thought I would be making. With greatest sadness I’ve decided immediately to temporarily suspend all services and meetings at St. David’s for the rest of the month of March. At this point, the next time we gather for worship will be Palm Sunday.
This decision has not been made easily. Many of you have emailed me saying you have chosen not to attend church for a few weeks just to be safe. I think about the Synagogue in New York and how one Rabbi infected over 100 people in his congregation and it is now a major hot spot in the nation.
For centuries and generations Mother Church has been there for her people. In my time at St. David’s, I and the entire staff, have done everything in our power to do everything you need. In good times, horrible times, joys and sorrows we’ve gathered together to celebrate mourn, and worship. And now I feel, for a time, we cannot be there for you.
Again, there will be no services, no meetings, no office hours. The building will be empty and closed.
I trust you understand and support this decision. As I said, it was not made easily and it truly hurts me to do so. It seems the best course to take at this time.
God’s Blessings, prayers and love to you.
Fr. David
