Letter from Rev. Carol for Nov. 13, 2021

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

This coming Sunday will be my last as the Assisting Priest of St. David’s. I will not be here on the 20th because I will be in Indiana at my granddaughter’s wedding. On the 29th The Rev. David Blank will be here, and we will have the opportunity to greet him into our family here at St. David’s. I want to thank everyone for their support and assistance in these last six months. It has been a time of learning more about how a church can function, under these circumstances of COVID19, and a time of growing in our faith though our Lord, Jesus Christ. Our Heavenly Father will continue to guide us as we go forward with the leadership of Fr. Dave.

This coming Sunday we will commission the Search Committee of our parish, and this means that the process has started to search for the priest who, though the wisdom of God, will be the new rector of our parish. The co-chairs of the Search Committee are Gail Donovan and Gary Magnolo, and the secretary is Rich Magee, and the Treasurer is Steve Leiby.

We are now allowing outside groups use our church for various activities. These groups are required to use masks and comply with all the regulations that any church groups are required to use. If anyone has any questions concerning this practice, please contact me or Bill Paff.

Just to remind all that our Sunday School is now completely open, and our teachers are waiting for all to return so we can continue with our educational activities. If this is something you desire for your children, we welcome you back.

Please continue to pray for the following:

Wade, who is receiving care for cancer.
Joe, who is also fighting the battle of liver cancer.
John, who is having a surgical procedure for his back.
Carol, who is waiting for a surgical procedure for her back.
Art, who is recovering from surgery.

May God’s peace and love be with all of you.
