Once again, the good people of St. David’s are stepping up to a call for help! A great many items have been donated to assist the 9- to 13-year-old Waverly East students this fall.
The school is currently under siege due to much needed construction work, but once that has ended, there will also be opportunities for us to have in-person contact with their students during various times during the day.
A “Book A Day” is an opportunity for adults to read to students there while they eat breakfast in the cafeteria. It’s early in the day (7:30 a.m.) and lasts only 15 minutes, but the impact that it has on both the Waverly students as well as the adult readers is significant. You may do this one or more times throughout the school year.
Courtney LeRoy loves to knit and has offered to go to the school to share her knitting skills with those who might be interested in learning from her. Maybe YOU have a special skill or interest that you might consider sharing with some very impressionable young people. If you think you do, please let either Amy and Gary Mugnolo or Andi Flitton know.

If you use a personal check or electronic donation to St. David’s, please make it out to St. David’s and write “Waverly East” on the memo line. You can place your gift in the Sunday collection plate or place it in an envelope and either mail or drop it off at the office.
Gift cards can be handed to Gary, Amy or Andrea or be placed in the collection plate marked “Waverly Outreach.”
Many blessings to you for your support of this very important ministry!
