As I alluded to in service last Sunday, we are blessed to be as busy as a church can be! With changes happening around the building, our programming year starting up in September, and with a congregation that continues to grow, change, and form new paths forward, we are officially in the thick of it!
This last Wednesday the Vestry met to discuss some of the happenings around the church. I would like to share just a few of the bullet points that came out of that meetings.
- St. David’s is operating, for the first time in I don’t know how long, with a slight surplus budget. I would like to personally thank you all for your continued generosity and support of the mission of the church!
- Word is getting out in our community about all the wonderful things happening at St. David’s. Engagement with our newly energized online presence has grown exponentially and our neighbors are taking notice!
- Outside community groups are filling our halls and spaces with new interest. Our internal calendar is filling up and St. David’s is proving over and over again that the value we share with our community extends outside of just Sunday mornings.
We really are in the busy season, but it is good for us all to remember that even our busy work is Kingdom work– and that makes it joyful work.
I’m two months into my ministry at St. David’s and a day has yet to pass where I don’t say to myself, “Wow, how lucky am I to be here?” Thank you all for your continued support and the continued generosity of your time, talent, and treasure. The best is yet to come, my friends!
